Karen started practicing yoga since 2009 and finished her RYT 200 training in 2010. To improve her practice, she went to the United States and Thailand to join the Yin Yoga Teacher Training program and studied anatomy with Paul and Suzee Grilley, Yin Yoga Masters. Ever since then her practice has significantly changed from the pursuit of outer aesthetic form to functional focus.

To further pursue the practice of functional exercises, she took up STOTT PILATES® training and became a certified Reformer teacher in 2015. She believes that although Pilates is a scientific based movement modality, it too can achieve balance in the body and mind like in yoga practice. When she incorporates her Pilates knowledge into her yoga practice, she can see that her Vinyasa practice has become more stable, effortless and mindful.

In addition, Karen is a certified Craniosacral Therapy practitioner. Integrating her knowledge in Pilates, yoga and manual therapy, Karen encourages her students to work with their strength and respect their limitations.

Karen is from Taiwan. She speaks Chinese and English.
